Official Name: Tithonia Diversifolia
This easy to grow shrub tends to save its biggest show for Fall when it is covered with avg. 5″ , golden-sunflower looking blooms. Can grow up to 14 feet tall. They have a nice, sweet fragrance too. When in full bloom, they command attention. They may get some blooms in Spring and summer, but normally the big show here in Florida is reserved for Fall. This is great too because while other shrubs are winding down for the year, this one kicks it in! Protect young plants from freezing north of USDA Zone 9 B. Plants are well rooted and average in size from 18″-30″. Plants will be shipped with some soil to lessen root shock, hence a little more in shipping weight and cost.
