Fantasia–4 seeds–Extremely Rare!

Fantasia—this is a chimera variety, meaning, instead of two halves of two sets of genes like most living things, this plant has a joining of two sets of complete genes. This is why it has the striping of the flowers for which it is famous.

Dr. Kukiat Tanteeratarm, the developer of this variety, told me in all the many years he has grown it, it has never once set seed. Therefore, this is indeed a rare occasion that we are able to offer an extremely small number of these seeds, since our own tree set one, tiny seedpod last fall and now, they have ripened.

Kukiat is excited about this and told me that most surely, the offspring should also be chimeras and display some sort of the striping seen in the mother plant. But, who knows in what colors? That IS truly exciting to consider! We held back a tiny number of seeds, which we planted and, are offering the rest of them to whatever lucky buyers see these first. Good luck!
